ENYC continues to seek new opportunities for young people in agri-business through strategic partnerships. The Council works closely with the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations to provide assistance to young people venturing in agriculture. The Council partnered with FAO and the Ministry of Education in support of the incorporation of the Climate Smart Agriculture in Eswatini schools and Agriculture Training Centers Programmes. The objective of the programme was to empower the youth with Climate Smart Agricultural and entrepreneurial skills. The ENYC has also supported young farmers with soft funding to purchase necessary equipment for their projects. The likes of Sidla Kusale and Mpentjane Co-ops have benefitted from the Council’s support program. The Council also coordinated the participation of young people in the Cold-Chain Summit facilitated by NAMBOARD. This presented them with an opportunity to learn about innovative techniques to be applied in their agricultural projects.
