The Eswatini National Career Expo (ENCE), established in 2021, is an annual national program that aims to enhance entrepreneurial skills. It bridges the information gap among both in-school and out-of-school youth, as well as marginalized youth, as they prepare to explore their career options and the potential opportunities available in the job market. In this era, entrepreneurial skills are crucial for promoting innovation, business growth, and competitiveness, which in turn contribute to economic growth and an improved standard of living. The career expo targets all high schools across the four regions of the country and the youth in all Tinkhundla centers, with the goal of maximizing information reach and building a network for both in-school and out-of-school youth.
In response to the high rate of youth unemployment, the Eswatini National Career Expo (ENCE), serves as a national platform for youth empowerment. Hosted by the Eswatini Government in collaboration with key stakeholders, it connects young people from various demographics with career and organizational opportunities, thereby preparing them for the labor market and enabling them to contribute more productively to economic activity.
The National Career Expo not only enhances youth engagement and fosters partnerships for future events, but it also rekindles hope among the youth of Eswatini as they strive to enhance their employability and improve their livelihoods.
The Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MOLSS) hosts this event in collaboration with other ministries of the Eswatini Government and key stakeholders who work with young people. These include the Ministry of Sport, Culture and Youth Affairs and the Eswatini National Youth Council.
